The UNMC 2024 Match Day<\/a> celebration was held at the Scott Conference Center at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where eight out of 140 medical students at UNMC opened their envelopes and found they had matched to the UNMC Department of Anesthesiology.<\/p>\n\n\n

\"\"<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n

Why did you choose the medical field?<\/strong> I was always full of curiosity growing up and had an interest in science throughout high school and college. I ultimately decided on the medical field because it gives me the opportunity to satisfy my curiosity with hands-on, patient-centered care.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What made you choose anesthesiology?<\/strong> I chose anesthesiology because I believe it will provide me with the critical thinking skills, procedural expertise, and collaborative teamwork I desire. Plus, the people within the field that I have gotten to work with have been supportive and amazing!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

List 3 accomplishments you are proud of:\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. I recently completed my first full marathon!<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Getting into medical school : )<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Completing an MD Honors Thesis during my fourth year of medical school. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    3 things about you that others may not know:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. I have a twin brother. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. I am getting married in November 2024!<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. I have been to 5 Big Ten stadiums to watch Nebraska football play. My fianc\u00e9 and I have a goal to make it to all Big Ten stadiums at least once to watch Nebraska play.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
