The American Heart Association\u2019s annual Greater Omaha Heart & Stroke Walk will be held in-person on Saturday, May 11, at Miller\u2019s Landing, 151 Freedom Park Road.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The walk, in its 30th<\/sup> year, is the heart association\u2019s premier event in the community. It celebrates heart and stroke survivors, promotes physical activity and heart-heathy living and raises funds for research, advocacy and CPR training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the American Heart Association is starting its one-day, city-wide rally campaign to recruit 500 walkers and raise $10,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As of earlier this week, the UNMC and Nebraska Medicine community has 45 registered walkers, 13 teams and has raised a combined total of $6,041.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
