The event also provided food and a chance to break away for some fun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event, sponsored by the UNMC Chancellor\u2019s Office and organized and coordinated by UNMC Human Resources, was held at three sites across the Omaha campus. The Durham Research Center featured a wellness theme, and the Center for Healthy Living offered games, while Eppley Science Hall hosted an employee talent show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In all, more than 500 UNMC employees attended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur primary goal today is to say thank you to all of you,\u201d Sarah Gloden Carlson, assistant vice chancellor and director for human resources, said in welcoming employees to the talent show. \u201cThank you for all that you do to make UNMC successful. Thank you for all that you do to help us meet the mission of the University of Nebraska. Thank you for all you do for our students.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s event was significantly supported by the efforts of the events staff at UNMC Strategic Communications and numerous volunteers. Chancellor Jeffrey P. Gold, MD, and other senior leaders were in attendance at all of the event locations.\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>At this link, click play to watch the UNMC talent show, featuring a magic trick by Steven Wengel, MD, UNMC\u2019s assistant vice chancellor for wellness and a professor in the UNMC Department of Psychiatry, and employees showing their talents singing and on guitar, ukulele and piano.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"embed-container\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/echo360.org\/media\/9d9011b0-6e0d-4b3b-b5f7-5b578e24dc94\/public\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>As one measure of thanks for employees\u2019 efforts, UNMC added 1,000 points to every employee\u2019s People Are Everything rewards account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNMC Human Resources also randomly drew the names of event attendees to add an additional 5,000 points to their People Are Everything
