The UNMC Office of Community Engagement needs your help to collect and showcase UNMC\u2019s extensive outreach work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Data submitted to the Community Engagement Survey \u2013 now through April 30 \u2013 will help UNMC leaders reapply for a Carnegie Community Engaged Campus designation. UNMC gained recognition in 2015 as the first health science center in the nation to receive such designation.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur designation in 2015 remains a point of pride for UNMC and the State of Nebraska,\u201d said Heidi Keeler, PhD, assistant vice chancellor of the UNMC Office of Community Engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUNMC\u2019s commitment to Nebraska\u2019s rural and urban communities is stronger than ever, and our application should reflect the extensive community engagement work done by our faculty, staff and students. By completing the online survey, you will help us tell the story of UNMC\u2019s commitment to our communities across the state and beyond. Your information will help us to capture that work and submit the strongest application possible.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The current survey measures engagement data from Jan. 1, 2022, to Dec. 31, 2023. It collects information on five types of community engagement \u2013 community engaged advocacy, education, research, clinical work and service, \u00a0as well as more specific information about partnerships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The survey data results will be shared with participating units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
