Want to learn how to decorate a cake?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Next week during Women\u2019s Health Week, the Olson Center for Women\u2019s Health will provide two in-person wellness classes, along with educational offerings on food insecurity and stroke issues for women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Wednesday, May 15, from 3-4:30 p.m., Emma Freedman, of the Freedman Baking Company of Council Bluffs, will provide the tools and instruction for hands-on cake decorating techniques.\u00a0Each attendee will decorate their own cake to take home.\u00a0The cost to attend is $40 and covers the supplies and cake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday, May 17, from noon-1 p.m., the Silent Book Club of Omaha will host a reading sessions at UNMC.\u00a0Readers can bring their choice of reading material, such as books, magazines or comics and a lunch if they’d like.\u00a0The session will start with a brief social time and then time for quiet reading.\u00a0It’s an opportunity for participants to do something for themselves and perhaps find a new book recommendation.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also offered during Women\u2019s Health Week are Zoom presentations on “Food Insecurity in Nebraska,” presented by Natalia Santos of the UNMC College of Public Health, on Tuesday, May 14, and “Stroke and Women,” presented by Marco Gonzalez Castellon, MD, of the UNMC Department of Neurologic Sciences.\u00a0 Both sessions are noon-1 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adobe login process to change May 15<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

On May 15, UNMC IT will change the way in which users log in and sign in to use Adobe products. Instead of creating a standalone username and password, users will begin using their standard corporate email account and password. This means that users will no longer use their Adobe account to sign in but rather their UNMC account credentials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This applies only to UNMC users who use Adobe products, such as Acrobat or Photoshop. The applications and versions will remain the same, but the account and password used to sign in will be switched to users\u2019 UNMC account.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Funday Tourneys set for Wednesdays this summer<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UNMC Center for Healthy Living will hold Funday Tourneys on Wednesdays over the summer. The tournaments, which start at 6 p.m., are open to anyone and are $5 per person or $25 for all events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
