Brandt holds a bachelor of arts degree from Doane College, Crete in German, Spanish and Speech Communication) and a master of arts degree from Albert-Ludwigs-University, Freiburg, Germany in European Linguistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brandt\u2019s main responsibilities in OGE includes incoming student pre-arrival and orientation, advisor for the International Student Association (ISA), current student programming and student event planning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When asked about her goals as coordinator, Brandt replied, \u201cI want to enhance the onboarding experience for students and coordinators. Clear communication and materials to help the process go smoothly are a key part of this goal. The first-year club is another goal of mine \u2013 I want to offer programming for our students that is meaningful and helps them overcome challenges and connect with other students.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During her time with OGE, Brandt has \u201corganized the graduation reception for students who graduated in May. This was an event that had been put on hold since COVID. I have organized our in-person orientation that will take place in August and implemented new activities like a welcome pizza party that the students\u2019 families can also attend and a student resources fair to introduce students to services on campus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Smiling, Brandt said, \u201cI have enjoyed getting to know my new colleagues and settling into my new position!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Brandt\u2019s spare time, she loves summer and going to the pool with her daughter, who is seven, whenever they get the chance. She enjoys learning languages, watching foreign films and practicing yoga.
