Michael Wadman, MD, chair of the UNMC Department of Emergency Medicine, will lead the search committee charged with identifying candidates for the chair of the UNMC Department of Dermatology. The individual selected will replace Ashley Wysong, MD, inaugural chair of dermatology, who left UNMC earlier this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bradley Britigan, MD, dean of the UNMC College of Medicine, announced the members of the committee in July.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cUnder Dr. Wysong, the UNMC Department of Dermatology has been a great success,\u201d Dr. Britigan said. \u201cI am confident that Dr. Wadman and the members of the search committee will identify an outstanding individual to further expand and mature the academic and clinical programs of the department.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Wadman said he was honored to serve as the chair of the committee, and thanked Dr. Britigan for assembling such an outstanding group to undertake the search for the right person to continue the department\u2019s growth and success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSelecting a leader to follow Dr. Wysong is no small task,\u201d he said. \u201cThe next leader will inherit a dynamic department that is well-positioned for the future, with outstanding clinical services, as well as nationally recognized educational and research programs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
