The UNMC Center for Healthy Living will host a MixxedFit instructor training session Oct. 12. The training session runs from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the cost is $125. Registration is online on the brand website<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MixxedFit is a fitness program that combines dance with body weight toning. The Center for Healthy Living hopes the training class will serve as a pipeline for new instructors to teach fitness classes at the facility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe wanted to offer this training so that we could create more homegrown instructors,\u201d said Andrea Swett, director of the Center for Healthy Living. \u201cThis training opportunity will increase the variety of fitness classes offered at the center. We also know that people like to dance as a workout. Why not get trained to teach others?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
