The UNMC College of Nursing\u2019s Center for Chronic Illness Self-Management & Prevention invites University of Nebraska colleagues to become CRISP members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CRISP \u2013 formerly known as the Center for Patient, Family & Community Engagement in Chronic Care Management,\u00a0or CENTRIC \u2013 is an interdisciplinary community of faculty, students and experts from clinical and academic backgrounds, along with community members, whose work and interests focus on the prevention and self-management of chronic illness including cardiovascular disease, diabetes and cancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur vision is to facilitate collaboration and innovation among scientists and the community to promote reduction of chronic illness,\u201d said CRISP Director Robin Lally, PhD, professor in the UNMC College of Nursing. \u201cWe want CRISP to be known as a positive resource that inspires scholarship and community action while complementing the research goals of our and other colleges.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All NU colleagues, postdoctoral fellows and graduate students with a research focus on chronic illness prevention and self-management are welcome to become CRISP members. Membership provides opportunities to network, share information and collaborate on funding opportunities, research and publications. Past CENTRIC members also are asked to complete the new online CRISP membership form, which will help the CRISP team know more about you and your science and improve your membership experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
