Gold, MD, and UNMC Interim Chancellor H. Dele Davies, MD, invite the UNMC and Nebraska Medicine campus to a special screening of the documentary&nbsp;&#8220;Facing the Wind&#8221; on Oct. 28 at 6:30pm at Film Streams&#8217; Ruth Sokolof Theater, 1340 Mike Fahey St.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Produced by Ren\u00e9e Fleming, Yo-Yo Ma, David Hyde Pierce and Suzie and Bruce Kovner,&nbsp;&#8220;Facing the Wind&#8221;&nbsp;is a love story about people with Lewy body dementia, the spouses who care for them and the remarkable community where they find sustenance and support.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mary Lou Falcone, author and advocate for Lewy body dementia awareness, will introduce the film and moderate a panel discussion and Q&amp;A session afterward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Panelists include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Michele Magner, host of the podcast\u00a0&#8220;Inspired Caring.&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Joan Squires, president of Omaha Performing Arts.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Julie Pavelka, UNMC Department of Neurological Sciences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Falcone also will be available to sign her book,\u00a0&#8220;I Didn\u2019t See It Coming: Scenes of Love, Loss, and Lewy Body Dementia.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Limited tickets are available.
