Additionally, data from the U.S. Census Bureau shows that the metro area has one of the highest percentages of working poor in the country. The funds raised will directly support local agencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>See instructions below on how to donate. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>United Way of the Midlands:&nbsp;<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Donate via the email sent today from the United Way of the Midlands or click on this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/go.unmc.edu\/uwmidlands\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">link<\/a>. The link will lead to a UNMC single sign-on page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employees can sign in with their UNMC username and password.\u00a0These should auto populate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once signed in, the employee will be directed to a personalized giving page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A \u201cno pledge\u201d option is available for employees who choose not to donate. Employees who are unable to contribute still are encouraged to access the ePledge website and submit a \u201cno donation\u201d response. <strong>A \u201cno donation\u201d response counts toward total employee participation.<\/strong> After an employee has submitted a donation or no donation response, United Way will no longer send additional giving emails to your account this month.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Give Nebraska: <\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click on this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.givenebraska.org\/unmc-donate-page.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">link<\/a>. (The link will take you to UNMC\u2019s Give Nebraska donation page.)\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Register and donate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Donation options:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employees can give by credit card on the online giving site, as well as through payroll deduction, cash or check.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Campaign pledges, which can be made through UNMC&#8217;s payroll deduction, are automatically withdrawn from the last check in December 2024 for biweekly paid employees and January 2025 for employees paid monthly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Incentives:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNMC has a campus goal of 50% employee participation. To help meet that goal incentives are being offered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Those who pledge at least $20 total will be eligible to win a prize each week of the campaign. Donations made by Fridays at 3 p.m. qualify for that week&#8217;s drawing, as well as subsequent drawings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The earlier the donation, the better the chance at winning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drawing winners will be notified via email.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For questions regarding this year&#8217;s campaign, contact\u00a0<a
