Almost every procedure we do has both cosmetic and reconstructive implications. There is no greater example of this than a patient with cleft lip and palate. The first time I saw a cleft patient, I was enamored with the immediate and long-term results. The global burden of congenital facial anomalies furthered my interest and ultimately took me on my journey to become a craniofacial plastic surgeon. &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Memberships:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Alpha Omega Alpha, UNMC Chapter<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>American Cleft Palate and Craniofacial class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Though I spent most of my medical training in California, I was raised here in Omaha, and I am a third-generation Nebraska physician.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I spent three years of my life dedicated to global health care and education, which took me to many remote parts of the world.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I have a beautiful family, and my wife and I are about to welcome our
