This is the center\u2019s first fee increase since 2018, and it supports the center\u2019s continued growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Full information about the center\u2019s activities with updated pricing is available <a href=\"http:\/\/unmc.edu\/cce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">at this link<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are grateful for all the continued collaboration across UNMC,\u201d said Kerri Gilson, executive director of the UNMC Center for Continuing Education. \u201cI encourage anyone interested in creating a continuing education-accredited activity reach out for further information or assistance with continuing education needs.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2020, in partnership with the UNMC College of Nursing\u2019s Office of Continuing Interprofessional Development and Innovation, UNMC achieved Joint Accreditation for Interprofessional Continuing Education. This accreditation was founded by three organizations: the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education, the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education and the American Nurses Credentialing Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This accreditation offers 10 different health care professions credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The primary goal of UNMC\u2019s continuing education offices is to offer accredited continuing education that addresses gaps in professional practice. Continuing education enhances the skills, strategies and performance of health care teams, ultimately contributing to improved patient outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Annually, UNMC\u2019s continuing education offices provide more than 3,500 educational activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The UNMC Center for Continuing Education offers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Accredited continuing education activities. <\/strong>The office provides a wide range of activities, including clinical courses offered in live, virtual and on-demand formats.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Regularly scheduled series. <\/strong>This includes ongoing educational opportunities such as grand rounds, tumor boards, case conferences and morbidity and mortality conferences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>American Heart Association training<\/strong>. As an American Heart Association training center, the UNMC Center for Continuing Education offers EMS and trauma courses, including basic life support, advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accredited professions<\/strong>. This includes physician, nursing, pharmacy, physician associate, psychology and social work professional accreditation assistance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It also partners through:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Collaborative development.<\/strong> The center\u2019s professionals are eager to partner in designing and delivering educational activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Accreditation processes.<\/strong> It is important to involve the UNMC Center for Continuing Education from the beginning of an accreditation planning process. This ensures that credit can be properly granted and abides by health care profession requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Interprofessional Continuing Education.<\/strong> IPCE activities can be specifically designed by teams, for teams, to foster collaboration and improve health care outcomes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The UNMC Center for Continuing Education offers an exclusive pricing
