{"id":117991,"date":"2024-12-16T01:52:00","date_gmt":"2024-12-16T07:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=117991"},"modified":"2024-12-13T15:56:29","modified_gmt":"2024-12-13T21:56:29","slug":"nominations-remain-open-for-unmc-staff-advisory-council","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2024\/12\/16\/nominations-remain-open-for-unmc-staff-advisory-council\/","title":{"rendered":"Nominations remain open for UNMC Staff Advisory Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>Employee nominations for the new UNMC Staff Advisory Council will be open through Friday, Jan. 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The 32-member UNMC Staff Advisory Council will act in an advisory capacity to the chancellor, campus administration and other university groups on behalf of all staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following the nomination process, voting is scheduled to take place Jan. 20-24.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/info.unmc.edu\/development\/staff-advisory-council\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>Find the nomination form and other details about the UNMC Staff Advisory Council on the council\u2019s webpage.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNMC staff members can nominate themselves, as well as individuals from any unit. Staff members are urged to nominate only staff members they feel would be willing and able to serve on the council, although there is no limit on the number of people an individual can nominate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be eligible to serve on the UNMC Staff Advisory Council, staff must be:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Under the administrative jurisdiction of the University of Nebraska Medical Center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A full-time employee or part-time employee of greater than half time for a minimum of one year in the position of administrative, managerial or professional staff, office staff or service staff.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be in good standing at UNMC.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The UNMC Staff Advisory Council will represent all employees and will include members from these 11 groups:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>UNMC College of Allied Health (two members)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNMC College of Dentistry (two members)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNMC College of Medicine (nine members)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNMC College of Nursing (two members)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNMC College of Pharmacy (two members)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNMC College of Public Health (two members)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNMC Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer and Allied Diseases (two members)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNMC Munroe-Meyer Institute (three members)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNMC Academic Affairs\/McGoogan Health Sciences Library (two members)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNMC Administration\/Office of Business &amp; Finance (four members)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>UNMC Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research (two members)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Those elected will serve a three-year term of Feb. 3, 2025, through June 30, 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With questions or for more information,&nbsp;<a
