Jen Luedders, MD, assistant professor with UNMC Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Allergy and Immunology, will present a discussion on wintertime allergies and asthma at the next Olson Center Brown Bag.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seasonal allergies aren\u2019t just limited to spring and fall \u2013 they can affect people year-round. Dr. Luedders will explore the various types of allergies that can flare up during the winter months, from indoor allergens, including dust mites and mold, to other seasonal triggers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Luedders also will dive into how cold weather and environmental changes can impact asthma, offering practical insights on managing symptoms and breathing easier during the chillier season.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This virtual event is on Tuesday, Jan. 21, from noon to 1 p.m.\u00a0To attend, register through\u00a0Engage<\/a>, email the Olson Women\u2019s Health Resource Center<\/a> or call 402-559-6345.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Zoom link will be emailed to registrants before the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Nebraska Medical Center and Olson Center for Women\u2019s Health. University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the health care team. The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates this activity for 1.0 ANCC contact hour. Nurses should only claim credit for the actual time spent participating in the activity.
