UNMC students are invited to participate at no charge in the Global Health Conference Midwest, sponsored by Creighton University School of Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cReframing our Homes: People, Places and the Planet\u201d is the theme of the event, which will be held Jan. 31-Feb. 1 in the Mike and Josie Harper Center at Creighton University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This popular conference features keynote speakers, panels and breakout sessions covering a range of local and global health topics and includes a research symposium and community fair. The Great Plains Native American Health Symposium is included in the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference is an opportunity for professionals, faculty and students to connect, collaborate and learn about pertinent and emerging topics in global health. The UNMC Office of Global Engagement will pay the registration fee for up to 50 UNMC students to attend the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To take advantage of the free student registration from the UNMC Office of Global Engagement, students should email Sara Pirtle<\/a> and indicate that they wish to register for the Global Health Conference Midwest. Students should identify themselves as UNMC students, along with the name of their program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The deadline to request the free registration is the end of the day Monday, Jan. 27. Students will be sent a code to enter at the time of registration, which will waive the registration fee.
