The series on heart health in women will bring attention this health issue. Each session will be provided virtually.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For registration information, call the Olson Women\u2019s Health Resource Center at 402-559-6345 or <a href=\"mailto:OlsonWHRC@unmc.edu\">email the Olson Center<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Hypertension in Women<\/strong><br>Tuesday, Feb. 4, 12 p.m. CST. Christina Dunbar Matos, DO, advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology, Nebraska Medicine<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This presentation is part of the Olson Center and College of Nursing 2025 Webinar Series. It is free and offers nursing credit at no cost. Learning objectives:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Identify key risk factors for hypertension, with a focus on gender-specific contributors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explore effective management strategies for hypertension, including lifestyle modifications and medical interventions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Discuss the DASH diet and its impact on management of hypertension and heart disease<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Nebraska Medical Center and Olson Center for Women\u2019s Health. University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates this activity for 1.0 ANCC contact hours. Ayesha Azmeen, MBBS, f<em>irst year advanced heart failure fellow<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This presentation will discuss gender differences in heart disease, with a focus on myocardial infarction and heart failure, as well as diagnosis and treatment options. This talk also will cover pregnancy-related cardiovascular disease conditions, including gestational hypertension and peripartum cardiomyopathy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Heart Health in Menopause<\/strong><br>Tuesday, Feb. 25, 12 p.m. CST. Kali Gagnon, DO, cardiovascular disease, Nebraska Medicine<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This presentation will discuss the hormonal changes in menopause and the correlation with increased risk for cardiovascular
