Erin Barrett, MD, and\u00a0Ronald Sulewski Jr., MD, from the UNMC Department of Dermatology, will present “The Hair Growth Cycle in Women and Common Hair Health Issues” at the next Olson Center Brown Bag.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout their lives, women can undergo significant changes in their hair due to such factors as genetics, hormonal shifts, medications and nutrition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In this lecture,\u00a0Drs. Barrett and\u00a0Sulewski will explore common hair conditions and types of hair loss that women may experience. They will discuss how these conditions are diagnosed and the available treatment options for managing different forms of hair loss.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This virtual event will be Tuesday, Feb. 18, from noon to 1 p.m.\u00a0To attend, register through Engage<\/a>, email the Olson Women\u2019s Health Resource Center<\/a> or call 402-559-6345. The Zoom link will be emailed to registrants before the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is a free event and open to the community. Nursing credit is available for $15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Nebraska Medical Center and Olson Center for Women\u2019s Health. University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing\u00a0Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the health care team.
