It\u2019s Patient Safety Awareness Week<\/a> at Nebraska Medicine and UNMC. Throughout the week, events and activities at the med center have help remind everyone of the role they play in keeping patients safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One popular activity is the Hot Mess Express, and there\u2019s still time to participate. This is a simulation-based activity where students, faculty and staff across all roles can join in to identify patient safety concerns in a scenario. After sharing the patient safety concerns, they are entered into a drawing for a chance to win a prize.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year, the patient safety team collaborated with the Innovation Design Unit and iEXCEL team to prepare the Hot Mess Express virtual activity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
