Sarah Fischer, PhD, an assistant professor from the UNMC Department of Psychiatry, will present \u201cUnderstanding Procrastination and Conquering Your To-Do List\u201d at the next Olson Center Brown Bag.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Everyone puts off tasks from time to time, but when procrastination becomes an enduring pattern, it can increase people’s stress levels and make it more difficult to make progress toward their goals. In this discussion, Dr. Fischer will review what makes procrastinating such a difficult habit to change, the types of situations that can trigger a desire to procrastinate and ways to manage task lists effectively and without self-criticism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This virtual event is on Tuesday, March 18, from noon to 1 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by University of Nebraska Medical Center and Olson Center for Women\u2019s Health. University of Nebraska Medical Center is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the health care team. The University of Nebraska Medical Center designates this activity for 1.0 ANCC contact hour. Nurses should only claim credit for the actual time spent participating in the activity.
