{"id":120563,"date":"2025-03-24T01:58:00","date_gmt":"2025-03-24T06:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=120563"},"modified":"2025-03-21T14:00:52","modified_gmt":"2025-03-21T19:00:52","slug":"iae-celebrates-education-research-support-staff-march-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2025\/03\/24\/iae-celebrates-education-research-support-staff-march-26\/","title":{"rendered":"IAE celebrates education research, support staff March 26"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>The UNMC Interprofessional Academy of Educators is holding a Spotlight on Scholarship event, where a variety of health sciences education research will be highlighted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event will be Wednesday, March 26, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Davis Global Center, first floor. <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com\/Pages\/ResponsePage.aspx?id=QImihGS0w0G6O7T6ZmW8BUqZDOwi5VtGlRJ6HeIyPWhURDJOR0ZDMTIxODNEVTRGRjZZWU1GRDk1SSQlQCN0PWcu\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Register now for the in-person event, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Register now for the in-person event<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This event will feature a live project presentation led by UNMC faculty and staff. This year\u2019s featured presentation is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Use of Generative Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Diagnosis of Oral Lesions: A Pilot Study<\/strong><br>The research team includes Nagamani Narayana, DMD, professor in the UNMC College of Dentistry, and Peggy Moore and Steph Langel of the UNMC Office of Interactive E-Learning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s Spotlight on Scholarship will highlight poster presentations covering a range of education topics, from applications of artificial intelligence in clinical applications to simulating vascular emergencies in robotic surgery. All projects can be viewed on DigitalCommons@UNMC on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/digitalcommons.unmc.edu\/iae_spotlight\/2025\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Spotlight on Scholarship 2025 page, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Spotlight on Scholarship 2025 page<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, the event will include the presentation of the 2025 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/academy\/teaching\/catalyst-award.html\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Catalyst for Education Award, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Catalyst for Education Award<\/a>. Now in its ninth year, the award recognizes UNMC staff members in educational support roles who are vital to the success of UNMC&#8217;s educational mission, promote a premier environment and ensure
