Starting in January 2025, Dr. Sam Cohen was named to the Cosmetic Ingredient Review Expert panel, which reviews the safety of cosmetic ingredients and serves as the approval body for the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cohen, MD, PhD, is a professor in the UNMC Department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology, and is the Havlik-Wall Professor of Oncology. He served as department vice chair from 1981-92, and as chair 1992-2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Cohen has served since 2002 in a similar capacity on the Flavor and Extract Manufacturers Association (FEMA) Expert Panel, which is the approval authority for flavor ingredients in the U.S.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
