During this free, in-person learning session, Nebraska Medicine bariatric surgeon&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nebraskamed.com\/doctors\/ivy-n-haskins\">Ivy Haskins, MD<\/a>, will explore the spectrum of weight loss options with a focus on surgical interventions that can lead to sustainable results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Haskins also is an associate professor in the UNMC Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery, MIS and Bariatric Surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attendees will learn about:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Different approaches to weight management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>When weight-loss surgery might be a good option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Steps to prepare for weight loss procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Long-term health benefits beyond physical appearance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The talk will be Thursday, April 17, at 5:30 p.m. at the Lauritzen Outpatient Center, fourth floor auditorium, 4014 Leavenworth St.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Registration is
