{"id":121726,"date":"2025-04-29T01:56:00","date_gmt":"2025-04-29T06:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=121726"},"modified":"2025-04-28T11:34:27","modified_gmt":"2025-04-28T16:34:27","slug":"graduate-medical-education-research-symposium-is-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2025\/04\/29\/graduate-medical-education-research-symposium-is-today\/","title":{"rendered":"Graduate Medical Education Research Symposium is today"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>The UNMC seventh annual Graduate Medical Education Research Symposium will be held today, April 29, from 3-6 p.m. in the Sorrell Center\u2019s Truhlsen Events Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/com\/_documents\/research\/7th-annaul-gme-research-symposium-program-brochure.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"See the symposium program brochure at this link., opens in a new window\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>See the symposium program brochure at this link.<\/em><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The symposium will provide the opportunity for house officers from UNMC and CHI to present their research in all avenues, including clinical outcomes, basic science, education, business, health policy and humanities. Chandra Are, MBBS, the UNMC College of Medicine\u2019s senior associate dean of graduate medical education, said more than 130 research abstracts \u2013 in both oral and poster formats \u2013 will be presented at the event, 60 more than when the symposium first premiered in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNMC Interim Chancellor H.
