{"id":121927,"date":"2025-05-06T16:07:21","date_gmt":"2025-05-06T21:07:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=121927"},"modified":"2025-05-08T14:51:25","modified_gmt":"2025-05-08T19:51:25","slug":"tickets-on-sale-now-for-june-9-garden-walk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2025\/05\/06\/tickets-on-sale-now-for-june-9-garden-walk\/","title":{"rendered":"Tickets on sale now for June 8 Garden Walk"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>Find inspiration and enjoy a stroll through six stunning Omaha area gardens, visit with local artists and vendors and enjoy classic car displays at the Munroe-Meyer Guild\u2019s 56<sup>th<\/sup> Annual Garden Walk, to be held on June 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The guild uses the funds raised to support programming at the Munroe-Meyer Institute. Proceeds from previous Garden Walks have been used to fund projects such as job training programs for young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities and a partnership with a national organization that provides low-cost mobility devices to toddlers facing mobility challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The annual event also is a local tradition, and its success is due to the generosity of homeowners who share their gardens and the countless volunteers behind the scenes, event organizers said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWe are just a month away from our highly anticipated Garden Walk and we couldn&#8217;t be more excited. This year, we invite you to explore an exceptional selection of gardens that will truly inspire,\u201d said Jennifer Read, president of the Munroe-Meyer Guild. \u201cThe number of participating vendors is increasing every year and we have some thrilling surprises in store.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Last year\u2019s event drew nearly 1,200 visitors and raised more than $40,000 in support of services and programs, innovative projects and training for individuals with disabilities and complex health care needs that might otherwise go unfulfilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s gardens are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Eagle Run, 13035 Binney Street<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sterling Ridge, Tri-Faith Garden &amp; Orchard, 13111 Sterling Ridge Drive<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sterling Ridge Estates, 12857 Pine Circle<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>West Rockbrook, 1908 South 113th Avenue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Westchester, 137 South 93rd Avenue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Loveland, 1125 South 79th Street<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The family-friendly event will be held rain or shine on Sunday, June 8 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tickets may be\u00a0<a aria-label=\"purchased\u00a0online, opens in a new window\" href=\"https:\/\/app1.unmc.edu\/forms\/mmi\/garden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">purchased\u00a0online<\/a> or at any of the local stores listed below in advance for $25.\u00a0Tickets also can be purchased at any garden location for $30 on the day of the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Benson Plant Rescue<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Canoyer Garden Center<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hy-Vee stores<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Indian Creek Nursery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lanoha Nurseries<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Moore\u2019s Nursery<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mulhall\u2019s Nursery, Inc.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Westlake Ace Hardware (140th&nbsp;and W.
