The showcase will be held from 1-5 p.m. in Room 1004 in the Durham Research Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ceremony, designed to emphasize Omaha VA\u2019s dedication to delivering exceptional care to veterans and advancing health science, will focus on the theme \u201c100 Years of Research.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cIt pays tribute to the VA researchers and staff who have been instrumental in some of the most significant medical breakthroughs in history, as well as those who continue to uphold this remarkable legacy,\u201d said John Davis, PhD. \u201cThe presentations and posters highlight the importance and impact of collaborative research conducted by VA and UNMC clinical and bench investigators. These joint efforts facilitate the translation of research into practical solutions that improve health outcomes for Veterans and the American public.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Davis said the VA research has consistently led the way in innovation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe dedicated teams of VA researchers have historically pioneered effective treatments for tuberculosis, developed groundbreaking inventions such as the CAT scan and pacemaker and achieved milestones like the first-ever liver transplant,\u201d he said. \u201cThe VA\u2019s Office of Research and Development (ORD) research division plays a crucial role in transforming scientific discoveries into practical solutions that enhance health outcomes for all.\u201d<\/p>\n<a rel=\"nofollow\"
