The symposium will bring together leading experts from across Nebraska and the nation to explore key aspects of trauma care \u2014 ranging from system-level coordination to bedside clinical interventions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Featured speakers are:\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Governor Jim Pillen\u00a0\u2014\u00a0Keynote address: &#8220;From the Eyes of the Governor&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fred Hoiberg, UNL men&#8217;s basketball team coach \u2014\u00a0&#8220;Teamwork&#8221;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>R. Todd Maxson, MD \u2014\u00a0&#8220;Trauma System Development&#8221;\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Kristan Staudenmayer, MD \u2014\u00a0&#8220;Regional Medical Operation Coordinating Centers&#8221;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Michael P. Smith, MD,\u00a0and\u00a0Timmy Tamisiea\u00a0\u2014\u00a0&#8220;Playing Your Way to Scaled Up Communication Skills&#8221;\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The symposium will be held in-person at the\u00a0University of Nebraska-Lincoln Nebraska Innovation Campus Conference Center starting at 7:15 a.m. There are optional pre-symposium cadaver labs on July 23. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/cce\/trauma-symposium\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Visit the website, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Visit the website<\/a> for full registration options.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This accredited continuing education activity is designed for physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, emergency medical services professionals, public health professionals, fellows, residents, students, and other health care providers involved in the care of trauma patients or interested in trauma systems and emergency response.
