The Child Health Research Institute, a partnership between UNMC and Children\u2019s Nebraska, will hold its fourth annual scientific conference<\/a> on Dec. 3 at the Scott Conference Center at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The one-day event will bring together experts, researchers and stakeholders in children\u2019s health for presentations, poster sessions and networking opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The conference will begin with a poster session and will provide researchers with multiple opportunities to showcase their work and engage with colleagues throughout the conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The keynote speaker is Marius George Linguraru, DPhil, the Connor Family Professor and Endowed Chair in Research and Innovation at Children\u2019s National Hospital in Washington, D.C. Additional speakers include Paul Trippier, PhD, professor in the UNMC Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences; Arwa Nasir, MBBS, professor in the UNMC Division of General Pediatrics; and William Rizzo, MD, professor in the UNMC Division of Pediatric Inherited Metabolic Diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ann Anderson-Berry, MD, PhD, CHRI’s executive director, will present the annual State of the CHRI address.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Researchers interested in presenting their work are encouraged to submit abstracts<\/a> for consideration. The deadline for abstract submissions is Thursday, Oct. 30, at 11:59 p.m. CST. All abstracts will be reviewed for opportunities to present during the main sessions or the poster session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outstanding scientific work will be recognized during the event, and full members of CHRI will have an opportunity to receive funding support to have their research published. To participate, investigators must be registered for the conference by Nov. 25.<\/p>\n
