{"id":129674,"date":"2026-02-12T01:54:00","date_gmt":"2026-02-12T07:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=129674"},"modified":"2026-02-10T09:15:37","modified_gmt":"2026-02-10T15:15:37","slug":"keep-calm-and-cook-on-4-starts-friday","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2026\/02\/12\/keep-calm-and-cook-on-4-starts-friday\/","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Keep Calm and Cook On 4&#8217; starts Friday"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>Cook along with the UNMC community during \u201cKeep Calm and Cook On 4,\u201d a series of interactive cooking demonstrations designed to support wellness, learning and connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Three sessions will be held:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Friday, Feb. 13, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>March 13, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>April 10, 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Friday session is hosted by Steven Wengel, MD, assistant vice chancellor for wellness at UNMC, and Doug Chrisman, culinary arts instructor at Metropolitan Community College. Together, they will guide participants through a live cooking experience that blends practical culinary skills with evidence-based wellness guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Each 90-minute session features:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A live cooking demonstration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Nutritional highlights from Mariah Jackson, PhD, assistant professor of medical nutrition at UNMC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A live Q&amp;A with presenters.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Sessions are held virtually via Zoom.
