The March event will focus on the formation and management of research teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The agenda includes these topics and speakers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Keynote presentation: Jessica Snowden, MD, vice chancellor for research, University of Tennessee Health Science Center, and former associate professor in the UNMC Department of Pediatrics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cRecruiting, Hiring and Onboarding your Research Team\u201d: Lisa Runco, Jenny Mobley and Jackie Ostronic, of the UNMC Department of Pediatrics and Child Health Research Institute HR processes administrative team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cMentorship and Working with Trainees\u201d: Faye Haggar, EdD, director of the Children\u2019s Nebraska Office of Education, and assistant professor, UNMC Department of Pediatrics.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cWorking with Clinical Research Offices\u201d\u00a0\u2013 Matt VanOrmer, PhD, senior research manager with the Child Health Research Institute.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>\u201cManaging Effective Research Teams\u201d: Mini talks followed by panel discussion from Howard Fox, MD, PhD, professor in the UNMC Department of Neurological Sciences; Ann Anderson-Berry, MD, PhD, executive director of the Child Health Research Institute and professor of neonatology in the UNMC Department of Pediatrics; Rebecca Gundry, PhD, professor and chair, UNMC Department of Cellular and Integrative Physiology; and Don Coulter, MD, professor in the UNMC Division of Hematology\/Oncology and director of the Pediatric Cancer Research Group.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The Pediatric Academic Workshop will take place at Children\u2019s Nebraska from 7:30 a.m. to 3
