The UNMC College of Nursing will present the 13th<\/sup> annual Anna Marie Jensen Cramer Memorial Lectureship in Women\u2019s and Children\u2019s Health and Family Nursing on Tuesday, March 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visiting lecturer is Heather Hanegan, a women\u2019s health nurse practitioner with The Ohio State University James Comprehensive Cancer Center and Solove Research Institute Columbus, Ohio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hanegan\u2019s lecture is titled \u201cCompassion in a Global Society: Providing Health Education for Refugee Women.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The in-person lecture will be held in the Sorrell Center, 649 S. 42nd St., Room 4053 on UNMC Omaha campus. A virtual\u00a0Zoom option also will be available after registration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A reception is scheduled for 1:30-1:45 p.m. CT, followed by the welcome from 1:45-2 p.m. CT. The lecture is set for 2-3 p.m. CT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Anna Marie Jensen Cramer Lectureship was established by Berniece Cramer to commemorate the life of her mother, who believed art and science formed the foundation of professional nursing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Berniece Cramer, a graduate of the Mary Lanning School of Nursing in Hastings, was awarded the 1989 U.S. Public Health Service Nurse of the Year for her lifelong contributions toward improving the health status of mothers and children. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
