To celebrate the UNMC Center for Healthy Living\u2019s membership appreciation efforts in April, the center is rolling out a new wellness experience for UNMC faculty and staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cMove Your Department Wellness Experience,\u201d made possible through the support of the UNMC Human Resources, wants to strengthen UNMC departments through active connections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Center for Healthy Living will award up to five departmental wellness scholarships to host a 45-minute private fitness session, with the recipient team’s choice of yoga, pilates or a custom group fitness class. Each scholarship includes a trained instructor and use of a campus fitness classroom, accommodating up to 25 participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Departments interested in applying will complete a short application explaining why their team would benefit from this wellness experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe recognize that true well-being is multidimensional \u2013 we want to bring multiple dimensions of wellness together in one accessible, energizing experience,\u201d said Andrea Swett, director of the Center for Healthy Living. \u201cWhether your group has navigated a demanding season, wants to strengthen team cohesion or hopes to prioritize wellbeing more intentionally, this is a chance to bring supportive, restorative movement directly to your staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur goal is to promote workplace wellbeing and highlight the importance of movement for both physical and mental health. We know that when teams feel supported, energized and connected, everyone benefits.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
