The UNMC\u2019s eighth annual Graduate Medical Education Research Symposium will be held on May 12 from 3-6 p.m. in the Sorrell Center\u2019s Truhlsen Events Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt is always exciting to showcase the research of our residents and fellows,\u201d said Chandra Are, MBBS, the UNMC College of Medicine\u2019s Senior Associate Dean of Graduate Medical Education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symposium will provide an opportunity for house officers to present their research across all avenues, including clinical outcomes, basic science, education, business, health policy and the humanities. Dr. Are said about 130 research abstracts \u2013 in both oral and poster formats \u2013 will be presented at the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNMC Interim Chancellor H. Dale Davies, MD, and UNMC College of Medicine Dean Bradley Britigan, MD, will open the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Are said all members of the UNMC community are invited to attend and show support to the residents and fellows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
