{"id":131713,"date":"2026-04-29T14:58:00","date_gmt":"2026-04-29T19:58:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=131713"},"modified":"2026-04-29T14:17:17","modified_gmt":"2026-04-29T19:17:17","slug":"take-the-2026-unmc-community-engagement-survey-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2026\/04\/29\/take-the-2026-unmc-community-engagement-survey-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Take the 2026 UNMC Community Engagement Survey"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p>The UNMC Office of Community Engagement is inviting UNMC faculty, staff, students and residents to participate in the office&#8217;s biannual engagement survey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Individual Community Engagement Survey, which opened April 13, gathers information on community engagement activities and partnerships across the organization. It also measures key community engagement indicators and activities for academic health centers.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Survey results will be shared with University of Nebraska President Jeffrey P. Gold, MD, and build on the work that led UNMC to receive the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2026\/01\/13\/unmc-earns-2026-carnegie-community-engagement-classification\/\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"2026 Carnegie Community Engagement Classification, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2026 Carnegie Community Engagement Classification<\/a>, one of the highest national honors recognizing an institution\u2019s commitment to community engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Heidi Keeler, PhD, assistant vice chancellor with the UNMC Office of Community Engagement, urged everyone to participate, regardless of engagement activities using the survey link.\u00a0The survey consists of seven key yes\/no questions, and for those who engage with community partners, additional items open to further report their efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The information collected, Dr. Keeler said, helps connect &#8220;like&#8221; projects, find synergy across UNMC units and better articulate opportunities to community partners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The current survey, measuring engagement data from Jan. 1, 2024, to March 31, 2025, is <a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com.mcas.ms\/pages\/responsepage.aspx?id=QImihGS0w0G6O7T6ZmW8BatucivdI4xGvCwms8JfV2hUQTRVRjJJN0hSWUw4VUVNUlNaUlI1Wlk3RS4u&amp;route=shorturl\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"available in Microsoft Teams, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">available in Microsoft Teams<\/a> and accessible to all UNMC users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once the survey is complete, respondents can save and use the survey answers as a reference to augment the service component for annual evaluations. The campus community is asked to complete the survey by May 15.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.office.com.mcas.ms\/pages\/responsepage.aspx?id=QImihGS0w0G6O7T6ZmW8BatucivdI4xGvCwms8JfV2hUQTRVRjJJN0hSWUw4VUVNUlNaUlI1Wlk3RS4u&amp;route=shorturl\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Take the 2026 survey, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Take the 2026 survey<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The survey collects information on five types of community engagement \u2013 community engaged advocacy, education, research, clinical work and service, as well as more specific information about partnerships. Community engagement aligns with the university\u2019s ITEACH (Innovation, Teamwork, Excellence, Accountability, Courage and Healing) values, Dr. Keeler said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For access to past report
