How I became interested in medicine: <\/strong>I\u2019ve always loved science, and medicine felt like the perfect way to apply that passion in a meaningful way and make a real, positive impact on people\u2019s lives.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Research interests: <\/strong>Studyingbarriers to healthcare in rural and underserved communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Medical interests: <\/strong>I am interested in quality improvement and learning how targeted changes can lead to meaningful, positive outcomes for patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How I fell in love with anesthesiology: <\/strong>I love anesthesia because it uniquely blends physiology, pharmacology and hands-on procedures, all while allowing me to make an immediate and meaningful impact on patient care.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Why UNMC? <\/strong>I chose UNMC because I was really impressed during my interview by how down-to-earth everyone was and the strong learning opportunities available. Additionally, my sister is a resident here a few years ahead of me, and her experience gave me a lot of confidence that this is an excellent program in a great city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
