Regan Taylor, MD, assistant professor in the UNMC Division of General Internal Medicine, has been named the director of Phase 2, effective July 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In making the announcement, Bradley Britigan, MD, dean of the UNMC College of Medicine, said:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDr. Taylor is an outstanding educator with an excellent record of service within the College of Medicine. She brings extensive experience in clinical education and leadership to her new role as the leader for the core clerkship year.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Taylor, a class of 2005 UNMC medical school graduate who also completed her residency at UNMC, said she was honored and excited to step into the Phase 2 director position.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The clerkships have always been a cornerstone in medical education at UNMC,\u201d she said. \u201cI look forward to working with the clerkship directors and coordinators to continue providing an outstanding clinical experience for our students.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 Phase 2 is a critical time in medical education, where students transition from the classroom to patient care, completing core clerkships in areas such as pediatrics, internal medicine and OB\/GYN.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWe are pleased to have Dr. Taylor in this role,\u201d Dr. Britigan said. Dr. Britigan also thanked former director Amy Cutright, MD, who is moving into a new role as associate dean of curriculum.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
