A high point of her term was chairing the group\u2019s annual professional development conference, which drew more than 600 attendees last spring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGroup leaders and steering committee members are an essential link between the AAMC and its member institutions,\u201d David Skorton, MD, AAMC president and CEO, told Mello in a letter. \u201cYour dedication has been critical to the success of the Group on Institutional Advancement, the academic medicine community, and the AAMC.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UNMC Interim Chancellor H. The program is designed to support early\u2011career investigators conducting interdisciplinary research in women\u2019s health and sex differences by pairing them with experienced mentors and established research environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Clark has been matched with the&nbsp;Magee\u2011Womens Research Institute&nbsp;in Pittsburgh, one of the nation\u2019s premier research centers devoted exclusively to women\u2019s and infants\u2019 health.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Being chosen as an inaugural VA\u2011BIRCWH Scholar is a significant achievement and speaks to Dr. Clark\u2019s potential as a future leader in women\u2019s health research. Her selection also reflects positively on our department\u2019s commitment to advancing impactful, interdisciplinary scholarship and supporting early\u2011career investigators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p
