Faculty, staff and students are invited to attend a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday, July 17, for UNMC Residences, the new student housing facility on UNMC\u2019s Omaha campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. in the first-floor commons of the new facility at 3861 Dewey Ave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a brief program, refreshments and self-guided tours will be available.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All UNMC students, faculty and staff have card access to the first-floor commons space that offers lounge space with a fireplace, collaborative study and meeting spaces, small conference rooms, a convenience store and outdoor patio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In August, occupants will begin moving into the six-story, 305-bed building, which will house UNMC students with a secure entrance to living areas on the second through sixth floors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

UNMC Residences is owned by UNMC and professionally managed by Burlington Capital Properties. Students interested in living on UNMC\u2019s Omaha campus \u2013 mere steps from UNMC classes and the Blackstone District \u2013 can learn more at the official UNMC Residences website<\/a>.
