The Child Health Research Institute\u2019s Pediatric Cancer Research Group will hold the 2026 Pediatric Cancer Research Group Symposium Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symposium, a dedicated day of advancing pediatric cancer research through collaboration and connection, will be held at the Truhlsen Campus Events Center on UNMC\u2019s campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The PCRG Symposium unites researchers, clinicians and people from across the community to share discoveries, advance new ideas and strengthen the collaborative spirit that drives meaningful progress in childhood cancer care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symposium provides stakeholders in childhood cancer research with the opportunity to engage with colleagues, contribute to shared knowledge and see firsthand how collective efforts are shaping the future of pediatric oncology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nebraska State Senator Ashlei Spivey will be a featured member of a pediatric cancer advocacy panel discussion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ann Anderson-Berry, MD, PhD, will be the keynote speaker. Dr. Anderson Berry serves as executive director of Child Health Research Institute, vice-chair of research in the UNMC Department of Pediatrics and division chief of neonatology at UNMC and Children\u2019s Nebraska. She holds the Sparks Chair of Pediatric Research and provides leadership across several key initiatives, including the Nebraska Perinatal Quality Improvement Collaborative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Registration also is open to attend the \u201cBridging the Divide: Adult and Pediatric Brain Tumor Summit,\u201d taking place the day before the symposium on Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Truhlsen Campus Events Center. The summit will bring together adult and pediatric perspectives to advance collaborative approaches in brain tumor research and care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
