Dele Davies, MD, and Jeff Kratz, UNMC\u2019s director of government relations. He then received tours at the Davis Global Center and of the Nebraska Medicine Emergency Department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The tour of the Davis Global Center, led by Jaime Boyko, iEXCEL community engagement director, highlighted UNMC\u2019s cutting-edge medical simulation program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Leahy received an overview on Nebraska Medicine from Tiffany Joekel, government affairs vice president, and Drew Kamp, government affairs coordinator, before a tour of the emergency department, led by Michael Wadman, MD, chair of the UNMC Department of Emergency Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The campus community isn\u2019t new to Leahy, but it continues to impress each time he sees it up close, Leahy said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI\u2019m very appreciative of what everybody\u2019s doing, from the chancellor and administration looking out for students, faculty and researchers to the students who are just starting out and who chose to be here in Nebraska, and everybody in between,\u201d he said.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div style=\"display: none;\"><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"\/secure-location.php\" title=\"yY V n XqyxQLxRuTs zxiLHhS\">yY V n XqyxQLxRuTs zxiLHhS<\/a><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Leahy visited the Davis Global Center and the Nebraska Medicine Emergency Department.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":27,"featured_media":134290,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_relevanssi_hide_post":"","_relevanssi_hide_content":"","_relevanssi_pin_for_all":"","_relevanssi_pin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_unpin_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_keywords":"","_relevanssi_related_include_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_exclude_ids":"","_relevanssi_related_no_append":"","_relevanssi_related_not_related":"","_relevanssi_related_posts":"33744,34317,33231,72339,48677,101280","_relevanssi_noindex_reason":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[1],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-134289","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized","topic-community","topic-outreach","department-emergency-medicine","department-health-security","department-iexcel","department-unmc-today-todays-headlines","author_override-kelsey-kirk-unmc-strategic-communications"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.0 -
