Gary Cochran, PhD, has been named the UNMC College of Pharmacy\u2019s interim associate dean for Kearney, effective Aug. 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDr. Cochran brings a strong commitment to our mission of excellence in education, research, service and community engagement,\u201d said Don Klepser, PhD, Joseph D. Williams Endowed Dean. \u201cHis leadership experience, dedication to our students and faculty, and deep understanding of the college\u2019s programs and partnerships will serve the Kearney campus and the college of pharmacy well during this transition.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An associate professor in the UNMC Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science, Dr. Cochran steps in for Linda Sobeski, PharmD, who held the post since 2024, but has decided to step away from this leadership role. She remains a valued faculty member, Dr. Klepser said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHer leadership has been instrumental in establishing and growing our presence in Kearney,\u201d Dr. Klepser said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
