The Water, Climate and Health Program<\/a> <\/a>has released its 2025 Annual Report, highlighting a year of impactful research, education, community engagement and policy efforts focused on protecting public health from the growing challenges of climate change and water quality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The report showcases how the interdisciplinary program continues to bring together experts from across the University of Nebraska System and beyond to address some of today’s most pressing environmental health issues. Through innovative research, partnerships with communities across Nebraska and the development of future public health leaders, the program is working to translate science into meaningful action.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The challenges at the intersection of water, climate and health continue to evolve, making collaboration and innovation more important than ever,” said Jesse Bell, PhD, director of the Water, Climate and Health Program. “This report reflects the incredible work of our faculty, staff, students and partners who are committed to advancing research that improves health outcomes while providing communities with the knowledge and resources they need to build resilience.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The annual report highlights major research accomplishments from 2025, including projects examining the health impacts of climate change, drinking water quality, drought, extreme weather, and other environmental hazards. It also features the program’s growing educational initiatives that are preparing the next generation of researchers and public health professionals to address complex environmental challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
