For the upcoming term, nominations for open positions will be accepted in the following areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Administration \/ Office of Business &amp; Finance:<\/strong> Two seats<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>College of Medicine:<\/strong> Two seats<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>College of Dentistry:<\/strong> One seat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer and Allied Diseases:<\/strong> One seat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Munroe-Meyer Institute:<\/strong> One seat<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research:<\/strong> One seat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Nomination and voting guidelines<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Who can nominate:<\/strong> Any UNMC staff member can self-nominate or nominate colleagues from any unit. Please nominate individuals who are willing and prepared to serve. There is no limit on the number of nominations you may submit.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Voting:<\/strong> Employees will vote exclusively for candidates within their own unit once the election window opens.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Eligibility Requirements<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To serve on the SAC, candidates must:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be under the administrative jurisdiction of UNMC.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be a full- or part-time staff member (more than 0.5 FTE) in an administrative, managerial, professional, office or service role for at least one consecutive year.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Be in good standing with the university.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Term Details &amp; Next Steps<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elected members serve a three-year term, and council service counts toward normal work hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nomination dates and the election timeline will be shared soon.
