The showcase spotlighted research from UNMC medical students and  featured poster presentations across a variety of biomedical, clinical and educational topics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kari Nelson, PhD, director of undergraduate research in the UNMC College of Medicine, said the event continues to expand each year, both in the number of student presenters and in the breadth and diversity of research topics represented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cFeedback from attendees this year consistently highlighted the rigor and quality of the research, as well as the professionalism and sophistication demonstrated in the students\u2019 presentations,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Nelson thanked the faculty research mentors, \u201cwhose guidance, expertise and mentorship provide students with invaluable opportunities to engage in meaningful scholarly inquiry and help develop their
