The following individuals received awards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Kate Hyde, PhD,&nbsp;<\/strong>biochemistry and molecular biology, received a grant of $559,996 from U.S. Army\/USAMRAA\/CDMRP for \u201cA Novel Role for the Splicing Factor PTBP1 in Familial Plate Disorder with Associated Myeloid Malignancies.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Yatin Vyas, MBBS, MD,&nbsp;<\/strong>pediatrics-hematology\/oncology, received a grant of $477,012 from DHHS\/NIH\/NAIAID for the study \u201cDefining WASp-dependent pathways in replication stress.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Sandipan Brahma, PhD,&nbsp;<\/strong> genetics, cell biology and anatomy, received a grant of $422,125 from the DHHS\/NIH\/NIGMS for the study \u201cChromatin Remodeling Mechanisms Across Scales.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Joshua Santarpia, PhD,&nbsp;<\/strong>pathology, microbiology and immunology, received a grant of $357,693 from the National Strategic Research Institute for \u201cBlueprint FILTR.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Andrew Dudley, PhD,&nbsp;<\/strong> genetics, cell biology and anatomy, received a grant of $318,439 from the DHHS\/NIH\/NIGMS for the Developing Experts in Computation, \u2018Omics and Data Exploration (DECODE) training program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>John Davis, PhD,&nbsp;<\/strong>obstetrics and gynecology, received a grant of $305,023 from Wichita State University for \u201cUnderstanding the Role of FSHR Oligomerization and Trafficking in Transducing Age-dependent Changes in FSH Glycoforms.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Paul Fey, PhD,\u00a0<\/strong>pathology, microbiology and immunology, received a grant of $230,250 from the University of Colorado-Anschutz Medical Campus for a study of staphylococcus aureus metabolic requirements during skin colonization.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>James Murphy, MD,\u00a0<\/strong>internal medicine-pulmonary, received a grant of $189,625 from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation for the CFF Center Adult Program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Moataz Ellithi, MBChB,&nbsp;<\/strong>internal medicine-oncology\/hematology, received a grant of $165,092 from the National Marrow Donor Program for a platform protocol to investigate post-transplant cyclophosphamide-based graft-vs-host disease prophylaxis in patients with hematologic malignancies undergoing mismatched unrelated donor peripheral blood stem cell transplantation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Austin Wheeler, MD,&nbsp;<\/strong>internal medicine-rheumatology, received a grant of $100,000 from the Rheumatology Research Foundation for development of a comprehensive risk score for rheumatoid arthritis-associated interstitial lung disease and progression.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ashley Ravnholdt, PhD,&nbsp;<\/strong>emergency medicine, received a grant of $83,622 from the National Strategic Research Institute for the study \u201cDisinfection Efficacy of Glycol Vapors in Controlled Multi-Chamber Aerosol Flow-Through System.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hannah Harris, PhD,&nbsp;<\/strong> genetics, cell biology and anatomy, received a grant of $76,300 from the DHHS\/NIH\/NIGMS to study the relationship between 3D exon-exon DNA folding and RNA splicing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Afshin Salehi, MD,&nbsp;<\/strong> neurosurgery, received a grant of $65,000 from the Nebraska DHHS \u2013 LB506 to study peptide-targeted gold nanorods to enhance laser interstitial thermal therapy for glioma.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ted Mikuls, MD,&nbsp;<\/strong>internal medicine-rheumatology, received grants of $62,357 and $23,801 from the V.A. Medical Center for \u201cHarlan Sayles IPA &#8211; PharmUP &#8211; 2025-2029\u201d and \u201cHunter IPA Mikuls Merit YR1 2024-2025.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bryant England, MD, PhD,&nbsp;<\/strong>internal medicine-rheumatology, received a grant of $13,318 from the V.A. Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System for \u201cCarlos Hunter PA -Dr Bryant England VA Merit-2025-2029.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Roslyn Mannon, MD,&nbsp;<\/strong>internal medicine-nephrology, received a grant of $5,416 from the V.A. Medical Center-Omaha for \u201cIPA for Harlan Sayles.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Industry-sponsored grants and contracts.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following industry-sponsored grants and contracts were received.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Kathleen Moore, MD,\u00a0<\/strong>obstetrics\/gynecology, received funding for a study evaluating safety, pharmacokinetics and efficacy of ABBV-901 as a monotherapy and in combination with Bevacizumab in adult subjects with ovarian cancer. Dr. Moore also received funding for a study of MUC16-directed antibody drug conjugate HWK-016 in participants with advanced solid tumors.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Snegha Ananth, MBBS,&nbsp;<\/strong>internal medicine-oncology\/hematology, received funding for a study of Sonrotoclax plus anti-CD20 antibody therapies vs. Venetoclax plus Rituximab in patients with relapsed\/refractory chronic lymphocytic leukemia\/small lymphocytic lymphoma.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Tammy Wichmann, MD,&nbsp;<\/strong>internal medicine-pulmonary, received funding for a study to evaluate the efficacy and safety of once-daily Treprostinil Palmitil inhalation powder in participants with pulmonary arterial hypertension.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Eric Langewisch, MD,&nbsp;<\/strong>internal medicine-nephrology, received funding for a study for participants from the 299AR301 Felzartamab study.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ronald Zolty, MD, PhD,&nbsp;<\/strong>internal medicine-cardiovascular, received funding for a study for oral Levosimendan.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Lindsay McAlarnen, MD,&nbsp;<\/strong>obstetrics\/gynecology, received funding for a study of Raludotatug Deruxtecan (R-DXd), a CDH6-directed antibody-drug conjugate, in subjects with platinum-resistant, high-grade ovarian, primary peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Scott Westphal, MD,<\/strong> internal medicine-nephrology, received funding for a study to evaluate the safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and preliminary efficacy of VEL-101 in kidney transplant recipients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Julie Vose, MD,&nbsp;<\/strong>internal medicine-hematology\/oncology, received funding for a study of Sonrotoclax (BGB-11417) plus Zanubrutinib (BGB-3111) compared with Venetoclax plus Acalabrutinib in patients with previously untreated chronic lymphocytic leukemia.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Scott Koepsell, MD, PhD,&nbsp;<\/strong>pathology, microbiology and immunology, received funding for \u201cAlinity h-series System Body Fluid Design Validation Clinical Study Protocol.\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Krishna Gundabolu, MBBS,\u00a0<\/strong>internal medicine-oncology\/hematology, received funding for a trial of Asciminib, Dasatinib, Prednisone and Blinatumomab for participants with newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome positive (Ph+) acute lymphoblastic leukemia.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Hani Haider, PhD,&nbsp;<\/strong>orthopedic surgery,
