Prevent. Advocate&#8221; on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from noon to 1 p.m. in Dixon Auditorium, UNMC College of Dentistry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The event, co-hosted by Bryan Health&#8217;s April Sampson Cancer Center in partnership with the UNL Nebraska Center for Virology, offers healthcare professionals, students, patient advocates, survivors and community members a look at oral cancer prevention and the role HPV vaccination and screening play in reducing risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Other speakers include Peter Angletti, PhD, of the UNL Nebraska Center for Virology; and oral cancer survivor Scott Wieskamp, who will share his personal advocacy perspective. Topics will include cancer awareness, HPV&#8217;s connection to cancer, prevention and early detection, and protecting yourself and loved ones.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pizza will
