{"id":135470,"date":"2026-09-14T01:56:00","date_gmt":"2026-09-14T06:56:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/?p=135470"},"modified":"2026-09-11T09:42:27","modified_gmt":"2026-09-11T14:42:27","slug":"employee-giving-campaign-begins-today","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/newsroom\/2026\/09\/14\/employee-giving-campaign-begins-today\/","title":{"rendered":"Employee Giving Campaign begins today"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"panel body-content\"><div class=\"panel__container\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 2026 UNMC Employee Giving Campaign kicks off today and will run through Sept. 25.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Beginning today our 2026 employee giving campaign has begun. Our communities need our support &#8212; as do our employees who live and work within the communities we serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By standing together, we can support meaningful causes that align with our values and positively impact the communities we serve.<strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Below are the ways to participate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>United Way of the Midlands:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Donate via the email sent today from the United Way of the Midlands or click on this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/go.unmc.edu\/uwmidlands\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"link, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noopener\">link<\/a>. The link will lead to a UNMC single sign-on page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employees can sign in with their UNMC username and password.\u00a0These should auto populate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Once signed in, the employee will be directed to a personalized giving page.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donate.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A \u201cno pledge\u201d option is available for employees who choose not to donate. Employees who are unable to contribute still are encouraged to access the ePledge website and submit a \u201cno donation\u201d response.\u00a0<strong>A \u201cno donation\u201d response counts toward total employee participation.<\/strong>\u00a0After an employee has submitted a donation or \u201cno donation\u201d response, United Way will stop sending campaign emails to your account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Give Nebraska:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click on this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.givenebraska.org\/unmc-donate-page.html\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"link, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noopener\">link<\/a>. (The link will take you to UNMC\u2019s Give Nebraska donation page.)\u00a0\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Register and donate.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Donation options:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employees can give by credit card on the online giving site, or through payroll deduction.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Campaign pledges, which can be made through UNMC\u2019s payroll deduction, are automatically withdrawn from the last check in December 2026 for biweekly paid employees and January 2027 for employees paid monthly.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Incentives:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employees who participate (this includes donating or logging a \u201cno donation\u201d response) will be eligible to win a prize each week of the campaign. Donations made by Fridays at 3 p.m. qualify for that week\u2019s drawing, as well as subsequent drawings.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Donations of a minimum of $20 will qualify to win Husker football tickets to the Oct. 3 game against Maryland.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Drawing winners will be notified via email after the campaign ends.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Questions?
