verification for access support more secure and efficient, CLEAR1&nbsp;will be introduced as a trusted identity verification&nbsp;option on Nov. 9.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/mcas-proxyweb.mcas.ms\/certificate-checker?login=false&amp;originalUrl=https%3A%2F%2Fnebraskamed.service-now.com.mcas.ms%2Fesc%3Fid%3Dkb_article%26sysparm_article%3DKB0015524%26McasTsid%3D15600&amp;McasCSRF=152da0885b1c08ca2b6b5e10d0a29fff921ace9773c473a32f7821fe4d395899\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"CLEAR1, opens in a new window\" rel=\"noopener\">CLEAR1<\/a>, not&nbsp;to be&nbsp;confused with CLEAR\/CLEAR+&nbsp;that is&nbsp;used&nbsp;in&nbsp;physical security lines at&nbsp;airports,&nbsp;helps confirm identity quickly and securely, reducing delays and creating a smoother access experience.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By using CLEAR1, Nebraska Medicine and UNMC will move to non-expiring&nbsp;passwords&nbsp;due to the strengthening of controls around identity verification and account access with the combination of Duo Verified Push and CLEAR.&nbsp;Together, these controls reduce&nbsp;the&nbsp;reliance on the password alone and create a more secure, intentional and auditable access process.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Why is this more secure?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Non-expiring passwords reduce the risk created by frequent forced password changes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DUO Verified Push makes multifactor authentication approval intentional and helps prevent accidental approval of fraudulent sign-in attempts; and<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CLEAR1\u00a0strengthens password reset by verifying the person requesting the reset, reducing the risk of account takeover through compromised email or social engineering.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What&nbsp;action&nbsp;is&nbsp;required?<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Colleagues who receive a CLEAR1&nbsp;enrollment invitation should complete the enrollment process as soon as practical.&nbsp;Completing enrollment in advance helps support faster identity verification if password&nbsp;recovery&nbsp;or&nbsp;Duo&nbsp;device&nbsp;access assistance is needed in the future.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note that this is for&nbsp;self-service&nbsp;password recovery&nbsp;when other options&nbsp;are&nbsp;not&nbsp;available.&nbsp;Other password reset&nbsp;options like&nbsp;<\/em><a
