The ads, which will air the weeks of March 11, 18 and 25, feature the following topics and individuals:<\/p>\n<p><UL><LI> Research on diabetes  &#8212; Jennifer Larsen, M.D., with comments from patient Richard McConnell of Omaha;<br \/>\n<LI> Research in the genetics of learning disabilities  &#8212; Shelley Smith, Ph.D., and;<br \/>\n<LI> Research on rheumatoid arthritis &#8212; James O&#8217;Dell, M.D., with comments from patient Anne Ivey of Omaha.<\/UL><\/p>\n<p>To hear the new commercials, go to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.unmc.edu\/future\/\" target=\"_blanK\" rel=\"noopener\">www.unmc.edu\/future\/<\/a>. The Web page also provides additional information on the research and education programs featured in the commercials.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Nebraskans heard UNMC research ads spotlighting clinical research on cancer vaccines for lymphoma (Julie Vose, M.D.); basic research on pancreatic cancer (Tony Hollingsworth, M.D.), and medical technology&#8217;s rural training program (student Laura Horner of Minden, Neb.). All six radio spots will air again during the weeks of April 15, 22 and 29.<\/p>\n<p>The commercials are part of UNMC&#8217;s ongoing awareness efforts to communicate to Nebraskans how UNMC is benefiting the state through its innovative research and education programs.<\/p>\n<p>The following stations will broadcast the commercials:<\/p>\n<p>Omaha &#8212; KEFM (96.1-FM), KFAB (1110 AM), KGOR (99.9 FM), KKCD (105.9 FM), KMKX (94.1 FM), KOMJ (590 AM), KXKT (103.7 FM).<\/p>\n<p>Lincoln &#8212; KBBK (107.3 FM), KFOR (1240 AM), KKUL (105.3 FM), KZKX (96.9 FM).<\/p>\n<p>Greater Nebraska &#8212; Central City KZEN-FM, Chadron KCSR-AM, Columbus KLIR-AM, Grand Island KRGI-FM, Kearney KGFW-AM, Lexington KRVN-AM, Nebraska City KNCY-AM\/FM, Norfolk WJAG-AM, North Platte KXNP-FM, Scottsbluff KNEB-FM.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On Monday, UNMC kicked off its second round of radio ads.
