The 2002 edition of the Directory of Nebraska and Western Iowa Heathcare Resources is now available.<\/p>\n

The directory lists the most complete and accurate information regarding Nebraska and Western Iowa hospitals, clinics, physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners and dentists. For the first time this year, a list of pharmacies have been to the directory. <\/p>\n

\nEach directory costs $60. Orders of 10 or more will receive a 10 percent discount. Shipping is free if ordered before May 15. To obtain your copy, contact the Health Professions Tracking Center at (402) 559-2901 and the center will ship your order that day.<\/p>\n

Because of the increasing amount of information in the directory, a new format was used to make the directory more accessible.<\/p>\n

“Because the directory has more information in it this year we decided to print it on larger paper so it will be lighter and easier to use,” said Kolene Kohll, director of the Health Professions Tracking Center.<\/p>\n

In addition to the directory’s new size, tabs were added for easier access to the different sections and the statistical section was expanded.<\/p>\n

Compiled annually by UNMC’s Health Professions Tracking Center, the widely used directory sorts the information by community, providing a comprehensive list of the health-care services available in each community.<\/p>\n

This year, the directories provide a listing of 4,754 physicians, 558 physician assistants and 345 nurse practitioners in Nebraska and Western Iowa. Each listing includes the business name, telephone number, fax number, the professionals associated with each clinic and their practicing specialties. The professionals are listed alphabetically for easy access to their primary practice address, primary specialty, telephone, fax number and UPIN. <\/p>\n
